The following important election dates and deadlines exist in Michigan. This is being put up more for my courtesy, rather than always searching out the pdf that is produced by the Secretary of State’s office. It is also important to note that you can not place a citizen’s petition ballot question on a primary election. I was kinda shocked that two actual candidates were advocating erroneous information, so I have decided to put all deadlines up here for an immediate reference point. If you are like me, and ever have a question about campaign finance or candidate election issues, never hesitate to call the Michigan Bureau of Elections at 517-373-2540.
Important Dates and Filing Deadlines
Refer to Michigan compiled law for cited provisions www.michiganlegislature.org. Dates are subject to change through legislative action. If any errors are found, it is the law, itself, which must be followed.
