This morning I received a response from the State Court Administrator's Office (Region 1 Detroit) regarding my initial Request for Investigation of Courts.
I subsequently followed up to this request when it went unanswered for over a month prompting me to write a Follow-Up Request for Investigation of Courts.
I additionally sent correspondence to Chief Justice Clifford Taylor on this issue indicating that a response of the issue would be appropriate to ensure continued public confidence in the judiciary.
The entire response indicated that the State Court Administrator's Office Region I did not receive the prior Request for Investigation, but they have sent all of my communications to Macomb County's Court Administrator for them to provide an answer. Additionally the State Court Administrator's office contacted "the administration of the 16th Circuit Court and requested that they review their practices to assure that they conform to Michigan Court Rules."
You can view the entire response of the State Court Administrator's Office here. This is the first step in leveling the playing field for Pro Se litigants that have had a hard time getting their objections into Macomb County because of the advice of Referees advising them of shortened deadlines. I will continue to follow complaints of Macomb County practices until they are reduced or cease.
