Flint City Council Meeting: Brian Downs, Esq. and Lary Holland Present HB 4564

Lary Holland and Brian Downs attend the regularly scheduled Flint City Council Meeting and present to the Council and the Audience on Equal Parenting and House Bill 4564.

Brian Downs and Lary Holland presented to the regularly Flint City Council Meeting and were invited back to discuss critical issues surrounding Equal Parenting and how it affects the City's long-term health and growth. "The next best thing to an intact family is a child having equal access to both fit, willing, and able parents," was the message presented. "Individuals coming together make families, families coming together make communities, communities come together to make government," stated Lary Holland and further, "If the most basic unit fails, so does the government."

Simply put "if the basic unit or building block is falling apart so will the government, you can't have a strong government or community when the family is being destroyed," states Holland. Both speakers indicated that you have to protect the family unit to strengthen the community.

The Flint City Council was provided detailed information pertaining to House Bill 4564 and Council members and President invited the speakers back to discuss these issues further and look into ways to strengthen the government by strengthening families.

Special thanks goes out to the Community Leaders, the Flint City Council, and the supportive residents that listened and attended. It means alot to see communities coming together to strengthen the most important building block, our children and families.

Additional thanks goes out to other Equal Parenting Supporters that showed up to lend their morale support on the issue, ready to help with anything that was necessary.

It is important to get involved with the elected officials in your community and let them know the impacts of not having equal parenting. High criminal, vandalism, poverty, and theft are all symptoms of having single parent homes. Equal shared parenting will involve both parents to raise their children.

Educating elected officials shows you are active in the community and that you care and they will respect you after seeing you several times are their meeting. Get involved and let them know what you want.

Messrs Holland and Downs are correct. Watchdogs, National Center for Fathering, National Center for Father Facts and many more have the empirical evidence demonstrating the criticality of Fathers to children's development.DADS of Michigan, West Michigan DADS, FRC and others have made the peer reviewed empirical evidence available to the Michigan Legislature and the State of Michigan Adminstration for at least the past ten years. There is indeed a Michigan House Bill 4564 and others sitting in Representative Clacks Committee on Children and Family Services. HB 4564 does not solve every difficulty that every child in Michigan will face but it will change Public Policy by accepting Fathers as parents. Clacks Committee has had 4564 for six months. Even though it really is common sense some perpetrators of misandry asked for evidence to refute their claim that only women can parent, the evidence is there and has been made available. Studies regarding the criticality of Fathers has existed for at least twenty years and many simply ignored it, if it is not time twenty - thirty years ago it certainly is time now to remove public policy obstacles to effective parenting by Fathers. DADS of Michigan and West Michigan DADS have programs aimed at empowering Fathers.

very well spoken Lary Holland, you're a great speaker and your facts are right on! I do however would like to add one thing to what your were saying.I am a firm believer that the domestic violence (false calls) that waste the law enforcements' time and the number of parents separating would greatly diminish if HB4564 gets passed and becomes law.
