As a former Child Support Officer for the Texas Attorney General considering a similar publication, I can say that the issues raised are national in scope and are just as devastating in Texas and many other states. The worst issue is that everyone, from the top to the local offices and workers, knows that they are there to make money for the state first and foremost.

The system is designed not to work but to wear down the father to make him go away. The system is corrupt. The shrinks are generally male hating women, so are a lot of the law guardians. Judges seek to put fathers at a tactical disadvantage so that they take a crappy deal and end their oppression at the hands of the mothers who seek to postpone hearings and trap the fathers into continually paying pen dente lite relief or temporary support, rather than to go to a speedy trial. This relief is supposed to be temporary, but no-one in the system will define how long is temporary. Judges don't want to do their job. They wish to intimidate litigants into making a deal and going away. Attack the weaker father, keep him at a hopeless disadvantage and keep the pressure on. The mothers are free to exploit their court gifted leverage, used to soak the father into giving up. In today's system, fathers don't have rights. Fathers need to organize and unite to fix this broken system and make it work to be fair. We need to fight for our rights and the rights of our children which always seem to be forgotten. The children are always the victims. Lazy lawyers and judges need to be held to a higher accountability and there should be a cap as to how much a person can be ruined by this process. There needs to be more remedies to protect the oppressed. The corruption needs to be exposed and terminated. Divorce is becoming more popular for it is a way for women to steal from their men and punish them and get away with it and have the court do all of their dirty work for them while the lawyers are getting rich. It’s so popular because it’s too darn easy. It ruins our economy and destroys our American way. Let’s unite. Count me in for the fight.

I have a question i wonder if a single parent which most cps cases are if they had the extra 1500.00 a month that foster care would recieve would they be in the same situation they were in to lose their children????????

I BELIEVE THAT WHEN A CHILD IS UNDER THE JURISDICTION OF CPS,IF A FAMILY MEMBER(GR MOTHER)WOULD BE ENTITLED TO THE SAME REIMBURSEMENT AS FOSTER PARENT RECEIVE~I HAVE A GR DAUGHTER THAT WAS REMOVED FROM THE HOME,AND IM IN THE KINSHIP PROGRAM~I DONT RECEIVE ANYTHING~IF MY GR DAUGHTER WAS PLACED IN A FOSTER HOME ,THEY GET MONEY AND CLOTHING GAS VOUCHERS,ETC~SO THE LAWS NEED TO BE LOOKED INTO THERE~IF THE RELATIVE HAS THE CHILD THEN WHERE IS ALL THIS MONEY GOING TO ,THE TITLE (Title IV-E).

Jennifer,

First, I appreciate your comment [below] and I want to clarify that this is not nearly as much a cause for fathers as it is for children. I do not advocate for individuals that are actual abusers and proposed legislation takes that into account as well as other issues pertaining to unfitness. I am advocate for children having two fit, caring, loving parents. The type that can stop with the accusations against each other and the type that can focus on raising their children despite their adversarial positions against one another. Mutual respect for parental rights by all.

Further, as statistics from the FBI and other sources demonstrate, currently mothers are the leading perpetrators of abuse against children, seconded only by unrelated live-in male partners to single moms. This is the truly scary statistic because many good fathers and mothers are not consistently involved in their children's lives which also cuts off half of the family tree. I would think that those that care about children would want to ensure parents are parents and do their duty as well as utilize the safety net of allowing both sides of the family tree to watchover the children.

"Father-deprivation is a more reliable predictor of criminal activity than race, environment or poverty.

Father-deprived children are:

1. 72% of all teenage murderers.
2. 60% of rapists.
3. 70% of kids incarcerated.
4. twice as likely to quit school.
5. 11 times more likely to be violent.
6. 3 of 4 teen suicides.
7. 80% of the adolescents in psychiatric hospitals.
8. 90% of runaways

At the moment my childrens father has supervised visitation because of his past violent behavior. My situation is not uncommon. Does anyone worry about these children if laws are past to protect fathers? Because the laws would apply to ALL fathers. Even if they do not get 50/50, all fathers would get more custody. This scares me. Please do not tell me that your cause does not pertain to my situation.
If any new laws are passed that protect my exhusbands rights, these same laws will put my two little children in danger. I know you will not post this because it does not agree with your cause. But please remember not all mothers try to get full custody out of spite. Most of us work like dogs to financially and in every way take care of our children, with help from no one.
I know that nothing I say will change your mind about your cause for more justice for fathers. If you suceed, please remember me. I am one mother who prays everyday that me and my children will not end up on CNN as a statistic. I have enough problems. Your cause does not help me at all.
