Moving past the past and into the future...

I had always shared with people that the best day in life since the age of 18 was July 2nd for me. The thing is, many people have a special date because they think it is magic or just their lucky day. The second of July is a day of personal growth every year and a day of decision-making and goal-setting for me. The main point is... luck, magic, etc. has nothing to do with the day... It's a day that I personally choose to be special and enjoy doing so.

Over the past many years, life has been slow and many changes have taken hold. Not what I originally planned, but life is getting more enjoyable and even more changes are taking hold because I am making them. I have gone back to my roots and discovered that so many people are having a hard time coping with their circumstances, whether it is divorce, child-custody, or just being a victim about everything happening in their life. I might have forgotten for a minute that my strongest skill is problem-solving no matter what the problem is. Too many people get caught up in their past that prevents them from reaching success in their future. I am using my skills to build some pretty amazing things lately.

So my personal blog is changing soon and reflecting some of the very enjoyable things that I am doing mixed with an occasional opinion piece with a positive twist. So as we go into this Independence Day weekend, enjoy a parade in your hometown, enjoy the holiday reaching out to friends, and most of all enjoy who you are becoming. Independence Day can be taken a few different ways, in the political sense or the personal choice sense. We are all masters of our future so my independence comes with defining the future.

So every year about this time I have a small black book that was given to me as a gift that I take a peek into. Hand-written quotes, flip through some of the pages and see what sticks with me:

It is a great year so far and getting better. I dedicate my life to succeeding for my children, my family, and my community. That is how we begin to maintain freedom if we are to "lead by example" in our communities. Insert any series of events in your past and you can make it through the dim times by taking the best things from your past as tools for a brighter positive future. You don't have to take the negative with you. Now, I'm going to go finish my cup of coffee on the deck this morning and finish watching the sun come up and watch the blog for some of the fun that I am seriously about to have.

Child Centered Awareness Program Starting with two resources

Last night we released the first in a series of child-centered awareness programs that focus on divorce and trauma that children may experience inside and outside a divorce situation. We found ourselves in a position to offer several professionals a free review copy of the book STOP Fighting Over the Kids: Resolving Day-to-Day Custody Conflict in Divorce Situations. The book sells for $29.99 through Amazon.Com. Within moments of many professionals walking into their office and checking their email our phones began to ring with people interested in using it as a resource in their own practices for parents, clients, and other colleagues.

Including the resource above we spread the awareness of the Coloring Away Pain series and have been receiving the feed back for them as well.

House Joint Resolution 42: Great for Kids and Great For You

This afternoon at 3:00PM (EDT), Representative Pete Hoekstra (MI) and Senator Jim DeMint (SC) held a joint press conference at Upper Senate Park, at the exact location of last years, DC FAMILY PRESERVATION FESTIVAL, next to the Russell Office Building in Washington, D.C., to announce the introduction of the Parental Rights Amendment in both houses of Congress. If you see clips of news on this, please send them to me as soon as possible at laryholland@sbcglobal.net. Congressman Hoekstra's office will also be releasing video, audio, and pictures through their new site listed below.

It is official, we have a Joint Resolution Number of 42. When speaking to Senators and Representatives you may now refer to the Parental Rights Amendment as House Joint Res. 42 or HJR-42.

On June 26, 2008, US Congressman Pete Hoekstra introduced H.J.Res.97, the Parental Rights Constitutional Amendment, which would protect parents’ rights to raise their children from unnecessary government intrusion. The amendment would allow for government intervention in instances of child abuse or neglect and would protect parental rights from the overreach of international law.

Get Your Justice Live Continues Uninterrupted - Tonight 9PM EST

For those of you that have heard all the rumor mongering whenever I take a break, you have nothing to worry about. First and foremost, Get Your Justice Live will continue forward uninterrupted. You can always check out the official website at http://www.getyourjusticelive.com.

As many of you know, after family court it is very difficult to get back on your feet. The process exhausts most psychologically, emotionally, and of course financially. When you partake in advocacy it is a further drain on your basic resources, but well worth it not monetarily but psychologically.

Over the years I have had many successes at the local, state, and federal level when speaking with those that are decision makers. I haven't always gotten along with all the individual groups, activists, and the multitude of people in-between. Why? Because they are not the ones that can make decisions associated with why the family court system is the way that it is. Some of the more needy folk often times take it personally when you just don't have time to cater to their personal issues. Unfortunate, but it definitely happens.

I will be hosting a live talk show tonight to air out the truth about why some would attempt to hi-jack the number one circulated talk show about the family court system. But suffice it to say, it will be a long and likely drawn out skirmish. Rest assured, I will still be broadcasting and of course available to help people with their situations.

Some bullet points to be aware of. Some individuals are going around with a new myspace page trying to get friends to advertise the old talk cast id: 43507 as being "Get Off The Bench." The title of the myspace page was made to look like mine. The official myspace page is and has always been http://www.myspace.com/getoffthebench AND http://www.myspace.com/getyourjusticelive.

The reason there were these two distinctions is that Get Your Justice Live is the name that I have promoted and owned since my involvement with online broadcasting. But, moreso to protect the brand, when I learned more about some of the people that had vendettas against their family court judges and more about their personal histories. There were definite reasons why I parted ways which were not made public at that time.

I think that my original article title for the next major article is as follows:

Oakland County Friend of the Court Citizens' Advisory Chairman Associates with Convicted Criminal in online broadcasting venture? It will need some cleaning up, but the person that is now claiming to own the show is indeed an unsavory character. He pretty much runs his assets through his child, in an effort to evade IRS tax liens. He has a conviction in connection with "boosting" cars in Florida and was investigated in Oakland County, Michigan in connection with a death of his ex's romantic partner. My involvement stopped when I learned that he was also being investigated for insurance fraud in a "mysterious" disappearance of a boat that he has in one of his children's names. Let's face it, it takes all types I guess. The kicker was when I appeared at the Waterford Police Department in Michigan to make sure that he was not getting child sexual assault charges pressed against him in connection with "another incident."

After I went broke, partly associated with my initial association with the soon to be named individual above I took a short-term loan to keep the phone lines on. So far, I have not been able to contribute back to the payback of that loan to the "newly" proclaimed "host" of the old show. Suffice it to say that both gentlemen are in possession of around $10,000.00 worth of my assets, including computer equipment and more that was dedicated to this movement. No doubt it will be reclaimed as soon as the whereabouts have been learned and a claim and delivery suit is brought.

The issues surrounding my ownership of the show, are easy. Lary Holland is the host and producer of Get Your Justice Live. That will not change, the only thing that will change is that we will continue to expand the show and get the job done. More details will be released as necessary. But in essence, the list of participants goes on beyond just the two people above. They will be flushed out, and we will continue to have the successes that we have always enjoyed in the advocacy movement. All services are free and you can be a part of history.

The only skeletons in my closet are the ones that everyone knows about. I have debt of around $1400.00 left to pay back to two sources and a video camera to return that is located at my house from the last successful event that I helped bring about. Other than that, let the rest of the cannibals come out and I will be happy to answer your questions.

Lee PAS Foundation Represents America at the Canadian Symposium for Parental Alienation

The Lee PAS Foundation Announces Participation with the Canadian Symposium for Parental Alienation Syndrome in Toronto, Canada. The event will be occurring March 27th through March 29, 2009 in the beautiful city of Toronto.

Chrissy Chrzanowski will be introducing at least one speaker and providing an account of her experience as an adult survivor of Parental Alienation. She will be joining the ranks of doctors, lawyers, and other mental health professionals that are well-known in the Parental Alienation Community.

"The Canadian Symposium For Parental Alienation Syndrome (CS - PAS), is an educational conference for Canadian and international mental health professionals, family law attorney's and other professionals dedicated to the prevention and treatment of Parental Alienation and Parental Alienation Syndrome."

This is only one of the many events that are being scheduled over the next year to raise awareness of Parental Alienation, Parental Alienation Syndrome, and the effects of an adversarial family court system over children and families.

Chrissy Chrzanowski, an adult survivor of Parental Alienation, will be providing a first-hand account of her experiences as a child navigating the hurt and manipulation that occurs with parental alienation through childhood and reunification in adulthood.

Pamela Richardson

Pamela Richardson has hosted television's The Saturday Show and The
Vancouver Show, and written and produced pieces for magazines and other
television programs. Today she is a full-time mother to her two
teenaged boys and lives in Vancouver with her husband, David. She
continues to work with many school and community organizations,
speaking at private and public events, meeting with legal
professionals, counselors, other parents whose children have been
alienated from them, as well as the media and other groups, bringing a
much-needed awareness of the damage that can be done by alienating a
child from a once-loved parent.

Amy J. L. Baker, Ph.D.

Baker has a Ph.D. in Developmental Psychology from Teachers College of
Columbia University. Her areas of research include parental alienation,
child welfare, parent involvement in their children's education, early
intervention, and attachment. She is the Director of Research at the
Vincent J. Fontana Center for Child Protection. She is the author or
co-author of 3 books and over 45 peer reviewed articles.

J. Michael Bone, Ph.D.

J. Michael Bone, Ph.D. has been
working in the area of Parental Alienation and high conflict divorce
for the last two decades. He worked directly with Richard Gardner, M.D.
on multiple cases, and consulted with him on a regular basis. Directly
related to this work, he served on the Scientific and Professional
Advisory Board of the Parental Alienation Research Foundation in
Washington D.C., along with Dr. Gardner, Richard Warshak, Ph.D., Randy
Rand, Ed.D., and Dierdre Rand, PhD, among others. He has provided both
mental health and legal continuing education training to lawyers and
mental health professionals regarding parental alienation in multiple
states. He has served as court appointed evaluator, therapist and
expert witness in numerous cases involving Parental Alienation in as
many states, and has consulted with and made recommendations to courts
across the country. He has presented at numerous conferences across the
United States concerning Parental Alienation, and has appeared on both
radio and television concerning this problem, most recently on The
Anderson Cooper show. He is published in professional journals, as well
as in the popular press. He serves on the Board of Directors of
Lakeside Behavioral Health, Inc., and is also its Chair of Quality
Assurance. He has maintained a Private Practice for over twenty five
years in Florida, and has most recently has opened a consulting
practice devoted exclusively to the problem of Parental Alienation. In
this capacity, Dr. Bone is President of JMB Consulting, P.A., which
provides educational and consultative services to both parents and
attorneys in cases involving the alienation of children.

Jayne Major, Ph.D.

Jayne A. Major, Ph.D. is the founder of Stop Parental Alienation of
Children and the author of numerous articles on parental alienation and
parental alienation syndrome. At her Los Angeles agency Breakthrough
Parenting Services she specializes in parent education classes and

Richard Sauber, Ph.D.

S. Richard Sauber, Ph.D. has been in practice for 30 years as a
forensic family and clinical psychologist who specializes in the
evaluation, consultation, and treatment of complex litigenous family
law cases. He is Board Certified in Family and Clinical psychology by
the American Board of Professional Psychology. Trained at Harvard
University in this area of expertise, he has been court appointed or
retained as an expert throughout the United States and Canada.
Formerly, Dr. Sauber was Professor of Family and Clinical Psychology in
the Dapartments of Psychiatry at the Medical Schools at Columbia,
Brown, and the University of Penn..At the latter two Medical Schools,
he was Director of their Post-doctoral Training Program in Family
Psychology, Family Therapy, and Family Forensic Psychology. He has been
on the Founding Board of Directors of the Academy of Family Mediators
and the National Academy of Professional Custody Evaluators. He also
serves on the Adviso ry Board of the Children's Rights Council in
Washington, D.C.. Since 1976, Dr. Sauber has been the Editor-in- Chief
of The American Journal of Family Therapy and his most recent book with

Terence Campbell, Ph.D., ABPP

Subsequent
to receiving his baccalaureate degree from Western Michigan University
in 1965, Dr. Campbell completed his doctoral degree in Human
Development and Clinical Psychology at the University of Maryland in
1970. He has also done postdoctoral training in family psychology and
family therapy at the University of Rochester School of Medicine. Dr.
Campbell was a co-founder of the Psychodjagnostic and Family Services
Clinic of the Macomb County (Michigan) Circuit Court in 1972.

Dr. Campbell's publications have appeared in various scientific and professional journals including
American Journal of Forensic Psychology, American Journal of Forensic
Psychiatry, Behavioral Sciences and the Law, Issues in Child Abuse
Accusations, Journal of Forensic Psychology Practice, Journal of
Systemic Therapies, Michigan Bar Journal, Michigan Lawyers Weekly, and
Psychotherapy. His work has also been reprinted in the Norwegian journal, Fokus Pas Familien.

Dr. Campbell's first book - Beware The Talking Cure: Psychotherapy May Be Hazardous to Your Mental Health published by Upton Books, an imprint of SIRS Publishing, was released in September of 1994. His second book - Smoke and Mirrors: The Devastating Effect of False Sexual Abuse Claims - was released by Insight Books, a division of Plenum Publishing, in September of 1998. His third book - Cross-Examining Experts in the Behavioral Sciences
- (co-authored with D.A. Lorandos, Ph.D., J.D.) was released by the
West Group in September 2001 with annual updates for every year
begining in 2003. Dr. Campbell's fourth book - Assessing Sex Offenders: Problems and Pitfalls
- Was published by Charles C. Thomas in July 2004 as part of its
American Series in the Behavioral Sciences and Law. His fifth book - Benchbook in the Behavioral Sciences: Psychiatry, Psychology, and Social Work - (co-authored with D.A. Lorandos, Ph.D., J,D.) was released by Carolina Academic Press in April 2005.

Dr. Campbell has served on the editorial board of the Journal of
Systemic Therapies. He currently serves on the Editorial Board of the Journal of Sexual Offender Civil Commitment: Science and the Law.
He is a member of the Scientific and Professional Advisory Board of the
False Memory Syndrome Foundation of Philadelphia. He also serves on the
Scientific Advisory Board of the National Association for Consumer
Protection in Mental Health Practices. He has been designated a Fellow
of the American Psychological Society in recognition of "a
distinguished contribution to psychological science." He is also board
certified in forensic psychology by the American Board of Professional
Psychology. Dr. Campbell has also ban listed in Who's Who in America since the 56th edition in 2002.

In addition to his treatment practice, Dr. Campbell frequently assists
attorneys in matters related to appropriate standards of practice,
evidentiary reliability in forensic psychology, eyewitness
identifications, coerced confessions, child custody and visitation
evaluations, allegations of child sexual abuse, and claims of repressed
memories. He has testified as an expert witness in numerous states and
the Dominion of Canada.

Darnall has appeared in court on over one hundred cases in eleven (11)
states involving issues of custody, parental alienation syndrome,
parental alienation, and other forensic matters. He has also appeared
on the Montel Show and Court TV. Reference to his work has been written

Clinical and Forensic Psychology of the Australian Psychological
Society.

Dr. Caddy holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honors) and a Doctor of Philosophy
from the University of New South Wales, Australia. During his graduate
education Glenn became a Commonwealth Scholar and thereafter a
Commonwealth University Fellow. He also has served as a Commissioned
Officer in the Royal Australian Army and an Intelligence Officer in the
Australian Security Intelligence Organization.

In the mid 1970s Dr. Caddy took up a research scientist position at the
University of California, Los Angeles. Thereafter he was promoted to
progressively more senior academic appointments at several major
universities and medical Schools, becoming a full professor and head of
a school by the mid 1980's at Nova Southeastern University and Medical
School. Dr. Caddy has served on the editorial board of a number of
scientific journals, and for ten years he was the series editor in
clinical psychology and behavioral medicine for a major publishing
house. Dr. Caddy also has published over one hundred peer reviewed
scientific manuscripts, numerous monographs, four books, and various
internet-based distance learning applications. During these years and
subsequently, Dr. Caddy has also consulted for numerous organizations
ranging from the National Institutes of Health to the United States Air
Force to the Veterans Administration, and many governmental and
non-governmental institutions.

In 1990 Dr. Caddy left full time academic work and entered the full
time practice of clinical and forensic psychology. In that context he
has directed the American Academy of Behavioral Medicine, the Institute
of Forensic and Behavioral Psychology, and Dr Glenn R. Caddy and
Associates. While in these various roles Dr Caddy has served very
broadly as a clinician and expert in literally thousands of cases and
legally related events. He is especially well know for matters of high
trauma including cases involving traumatic injury, war crimes and
torture, cult issues and mind control. In the latter in particular Dr.
Caddy has done a great deal of work in the area of Parental Alienation.

Dr. Caddy lives with his wife and three of his four children in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

Demosthenes Lorandos, J.D., Ph.D.

Dr. Lorandos received his B.A. in Psychology from San Francisco State
University. He attended the New School for Social Research in New York
City, studying the principles and methodology of science. He earned the
Graduate Faculty of Political and Social Sciences scholarship award.

He spent the next four years studying the philosophy of
science at an experimental university, earning a Ph.D. in 1976. He
served two clinical internships and completed his doctorate in Clinical
Psychology with Union Graduate School in Cincinnati.

Dr. Lorandos taught as an assistant, then associate, professor at
Indiana University, Saginaw Valley State College, and Central Michigan
University.

He created the largest private Vietnam veterans treatment
program in the United States, which won national recognition from the
Vietnam Veterans of America.

As a research scientist, he has published both commentary and original scientific research in many scientific journals.

He has also published three books: Cross-Examining Experts in the Behavioral Sciences (co-authored with Dr. Terence Campbell); Benchbook in the Behavioral Sciences: Psychiatry – Psychology – Social Work (co-authored with Dr. Terence Campbell); and The International Handbook of Parental Alienation Syndrome – Conceptual, clinical and Legal Perspectives which brings contributors from all over the world together to discuss this important phenomena.

Dr. Lorandos retired from the active practice of clinical psychology to
attend the University of Detroit Law School, where he graduated with
honors in 1991. He is licensed in New York, California and Michigan an
attorney, and in California and Michigan as a psychologist.

Abraham Worenklein, Ph.D.

Abe Worenklein, Ph.D. has been in practice for more than 30 years as a
clinical and forensic family psychologist who specializes in the
evaluation of high conflict and highly litigious situations involving
parental alienation, child sexual abuse allegations, and relocation
disputes. He has been declared an expert witness by courts in Canada
and the United States and has presented at professional conferences in
Canada, the United States and Europe. He has testified in more than 600
trials and has been an expert witness in some of the early
groundbreaking cases in Quebec on parental alienation. Dr. Worenklein
received his Ph.D. at the Universite de Montreal and is a professor at
Dawson College in Montreal and an adjuct at Concordia University, where
he has taught Forensic Psychology, Psychology and the Law, etc. In
addition to the high conflict family evaluations that he conducts, he
also has been certified as a family mediator with advanced training. In
addition to being licensed by the Ordre des Psychologues du Quebec, he
is also a member of th Canadian Register of Health Service Providers in
Psychology and has a Certifcate of Professional Qualification by the
Association of State and Provincial Psychology Boards.

to the Bar in 1981. She has authored articles on parental alienation,

cost in a matrimonial matter. She is presently challenging the
constitutionality of the federal definition of marriage in the Civil
Marriage Act, and challenging the constitutionality of Quebec's failure to
grant rights to common law couples. She is also challenging the
constitutionality of the Quebec Child Support Guidelines.

Cook has been working in York Region for several years and is a member

Marty McKay is a clinical psychologist who has 32 years of experience

Michigan and the Nation have indeed lost a true warrior and a great
leader. We learned of this information early on Saturday morning, it took quite awhile to get over the shock of what had happened. This is another life-changing experience for me personally and we all need to take a moment and tell the ones that are important us, our friends, our family members that we love them and appreciate them. In essence, what we perceive as him leaving us, is God's way of letting us know that truly did succeed. He departs Earth to be with his son, which tells us that he has planted all the necessary seeds to change society, we all now have to act on them and see them grow in his memory. Ron... we will miss you and we all will continue to love you!

Minister Smith was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois. A product of the Chicago Public School system, furthered his education by attending and graduating from the University of Michigan at Dearborn. Children Need Both Parents, Inc. was founded in 1993 initially to assist non custodial parents to maintain an equal and positive relationship with their children. CNBP has since become an advocate of the American Family highlighting the importance of the protection of the parent child relationship.

Minister Smith is the father of two sons, Richmond E. Smith (deceased) and Ariel D. Smith. His sons were victims of Parental Alienation which has sparked his push for the elimination of these practices nationwide and spotlighted the need for shared parenting legislation to exist throughout this country. He is the author of the book Cheated (A Documented Account of Parental Alienation Syndrome) co-authored by his son Ariel.

Minister Smith dedicates his efforts to the memory of his son Richmond Elihu Smith who passed on April 27, 2007 from complications of liver cancer believed to be the result from the administration of Ritatlin.

The National Family Preservation Festival 2008 (DCFESTIVAL2008.COM) was a great success. Bringing activists into the public eye, with the leaders like Brian Holladay of Fathers 4 Justice taking control and executing a spontaneous march and rallies throughout Washington DC. The video below is an independently created promotion of "Fathers-4-Justice", "Get Your Justice Live", and the ideal that "Children should be educated and instructed in the principles of freedom."

Parental Rights Should be Respected and Protected by ALL!

The DC FESTIVAL 2008 brought activists and the public together due to the spectacular leadership of so many great people working together to MAKE an event happen. Last night on the GET OFF THE BENCH talk show we indicated we were going to send out special announcements regarding final destination DC FESTIVAL 2008 after we spoke with our awesome Equal Parenting Bike Trekkers last night. This is that message. Print this email off as a task list if you have to, it is important. WE all have to get this stuff done. This email is intended to be redistributed today by leadership to County and State groups as well as to direct action activists that are ready to move beyond the keyboard.

Remember, the point of our advocacy efforts are not just to meet one another, but to recruit and notify outside organizations and agencies that we exist. Your help is invaluable to this end! We simply cannot do it all. We have to get more volunteers.

We have had around 23 states contribute something! This is awesome and we have done this in just under 60 days, and now we really have to pull off a miracle. We have raised more than 6 times the past efforts for this event, but have still fallen short with organizational benefactors waiting to get involved. You are part of that miracle of why we have been successful up to this point and we have made great strides demonstrating that individuals can make a real difference.

We can do some more and it can start with a donation, telephone call, or volunteer position. I think you will agree. Make a point to contact at least two people in states that have not contributed yet, and urge the importance. We need to get more states involved for this building block event and because many states have not hit their groups minimum. This hurts the event in a bad way and we have to cure this over the next 24-30 hours. Every person can help recruit $5.00 - $10.00 donations for the states that have not gotten involved. We want at least half the states to on the board as this is truly a NATIONAL issue. Let's prove it.

Also, look into any membership fees that you might have submitted to organizations and see if those organizations have contributed financially to a parental right's event in 2008. If not, this is the perfect event for larger organizations to step up to. We also have a need for speakers in select areas to complete the programs. If you sense any organizations are silent, with a "wait and see" approach to their support, then it stands to reason they will "wait and see" on legislative activities as well. People hate it when I make a statement like this, but as advocates, sometimes we have to take time and spend it advocating to our organizations. Speaking to ourselves, although important, impedes our ability to sway legislators. This is important when reviewing which organizations to support in the coming year after the election. I don't know about you, but I am done with the wait and see approach to advocacy. It gets us nowhere and results in more time away from our children.

I typically have supported activities of most known organizations and even I will be reviewing which ones I financially and physically support for the coming years and hope you will to. Remember the prediction email that I sent out? Conceptualize, Visualize, Materialize!

Here is something to consider: "The best way to predict the future is to invent it." I have been trying to help all invent a future where we have equal access to our children and help as many as possible individually as possible. Are we "waiting and seeing" and failing to invent the future? Parental Equality seems like a worthy issue to take up and fight.

Final letters of support need to get into me asap. Email them per the website under Get Involved at the top (#6 on the list). Go to the website and click "Get Involved" at the top and please get your individual, organization, and agency support letters for the event in. All the details are there. Recruit others to do the same asap. This is about delivering our voices post election! Let's get this done as soon as possible.

Despite all odds, we have made it this far, lets finish the home run stretch tonight on the conference call. We are short a tremendous number of physical items as a result of too few people stretching themselves to far. We need your help and expertise in key areas. You know someone with skills, get them on the call tonight.

Everyone has the opportunity to lead and be a part of history. Don't wait for someone else to do what you are more than capable of doing. Show our government how serious you are about making every event a successful talking point in State and Federal circles.
